Juli was blind, sick, and alone. After losing her vision in an accident, she continued to roam the streets with surprising agility, relying on her other senses to survive.
But life on the streets was brutal, and a diagnosis of CTVT—a contagious tumor—made her struggle even harder.
Over time, her health declined, and the tumor left her frail and vulnerable.
Her story might have ended there—if not for the team at RRSA India.
Rescuing Juli wasn’t easy. She wandered constantly, always on the move for food and shelter.
But the volunteers were determined. When they finally found her, they were struck by her quiet strength.
Despite her blindness and illness, Juli accepted their presence, sensing their good intentions.
To build trust, they set up a feeding station and spent quiet time nearby, showing her that she was safe.
Gradually, Juli drew closer. Once she was comfortable, the team transported her to a veterinary clinic, where surgeons removed the tumor.
Sadly, her eyesight couldn’t be restored—but her life was saved.
Today, Juli lives at the RRSA India shelter, where she is safe, loved, and looked after.
Though she remains blind and cannot be adopted out, she has found peace in a place that understands her needs.
Juli’s transformation from a sick, blind stray to a joyful, stable companion is a powerful reminder of what care and compassion can do.
Her journey continues, and with support, she’ll never be alone again.
